Shape and Flexibility of a Dome Tent

Dome tents particularly stand out for their construction shape. The tension of the crossed pole arches allows igloo tents to stand by themselves and without further fastening wit tent pegs. Some models have a flexible removable outer tent. But you can also camp in the air-permeable, insect-protected inner tent, which is especially suitable for dry and hot areas.

Dome tent - The Advantages

  • The light weight of the igloo tent makes it perfect for trekking excursions
  • The construction of the dome tent is especially stable against wind.
  • The camping tent is ideal for beginners due to an easy and quick set-up.
  • The dome tent is one of the smaller tents, but still offers plenty of space.
  • The tent can convince with a small pack size, whereby it can be stored compactly and space-savingly.
  • Igloo tents are all-rounders, as you can pitch them anywhere from the flatlands to the high mountains.
  • The tents often offer good seating and headroom.
  • Berger Camping offers igloo tents as two person tents, three person tents or as four person tents

Igloo tent - The assembly

First you need to connect the tent poles by plugging them together. After that, you should lay the tent spread out flat on the ground with the poles crossed over it. When you are sure that the poles are aligned correctly, then slide both poles through the loops of the tent. Then, push the tips of the tent poles into the eyelets of the tent corners until the dome tent stands. After that you can fasten your igloo tent with guy ropes as you like. Finally, the outer tent is thrown over the light tent and attached to it.
