Test report from 28.04.2016
How long could you test the trekking tent?
„17 days“
Where did the test of the trekking tent take place?
„Dutch North Sea Coast“
Bei welchem Wetter wurde das Trekkingzelt getestet?
„Rain , storm and sun“
How many people have stayed in the tent?
„1 adult and 1 child.“
What was the first impression and packaging of the trekking tent like?
„Very compactly packaged with practical hangtags.“
How easy was it to set up the trekking tent during the first test?
„Without problems.
Very convenient is that the tent poles tighten by themselves.“
How comfortable is the tent?
„There are practical storage compartments on the inside.
But due to its size, the tent offers little comfort in bad weather.
Also because the bottom of the storage space located outside under the outer skin is washed over very quickly and thus everything gets wet.“
How practical is weight and packing size?
„Pack size and weight are absolutely fine for this price range.“
How good do you find the colour and geodesic construction?
„The green color is pleasing and the geodesic design is very stable which we came to appreciate during various storms.“
How easy is the trekking tent to take down and pack up?
„The assembly is very simple even without the good assembly instructions , which is sewn into the tent bag, which I find very good.
However, packing in the bag is a nightmare !
Why is no folding instructions included ?“
How do you judge the price-performance ratio of the tent?
„The price, as already mentioned, is absolutely fine for this tent.“
Overall impression:
„The tent is in good weather quite for 2 people to use.
But as soon as there is bad weather (rain) it quickly becomes too tight.
Processing, construction and stability are very good.“

How long could you test the trekking tent?
„4 nights“
Where did the test of the trekking tent take place?
„Hiking and camping“
Bei welchem Wetter wurde das Trekkingzelt getestet?
„Sun and short shower“
How many people have stayed in the tent?
„2 people“
What was the first impression and packaging of the trekking tent like?
„The very first impression of the delivered package was good, only I was amazed at how big the package was. The tent was then again surprisingly handy - reassuring. The packaging quality of the outer box was impeccable. No quirks etc.
The tent has a good pack size and fits well in a trekking backpack (50l). The weight is also nice and light. When unpacking hardly exuded unpleasant chemical odors. It smelled \"neu\", however, this smell dissipated after a few hours. Overall positive.
“
How easy was it to set up the trekking tent during the first test?
„The description of the assembly is clear and understandable. Alone, however, the assembly requires some practice and skill, since the rods beím tensioning like to slip out of the opposite eyelets again.
“
How comfortable is the tent?
„The tent is rather small for us. The Absiden offer not very much space when 2 people store their luggage each on their \"Liegeseite\" and also still want to get in and out. With 2 trekking backpacks, the space is rather too small.
The lying area is for 2 people with standard dimensions rather in the lower range ok. My husband is 1.96 m, for him the tent is definitely too small. For two, the space for sleeping is just enough. If in the rain in the tent breakfast would have to be (we have not tried), it should be rather uncomfortable. The pockets at the ends and storage space in the \"Dach\" are practical and sufficient
“
How practical is weight and packing size?
„Weight and pack size are very good. The tent fits as said well in the backpack. For a bike tour we can also imagine it well.
“
How good do you find the colour and geodesic construction?
„The color is not too bright to stand out too much, but still nice and bright. Very well we like the \"glowing\" Guy lines, you can see them quite well even in the dark.
We did not have much wind, but the design seems to offer little attack surface in wind, very good.
Very good we find the hardening rings. Good, stable quality, which does not bend immediately even on firmer ground and fixes the tent securely.“
How easy is the trekking tent to take down and pack up?
„Dismantling is quick and easy. I (female) had a little trouble getting the tent back into the sleeve. My husband found it easy.“
How do you judge the price-performance ratio of the tent?
„The tent makes a high-quality impression. Processing and feel are good. Interesting would still be the use in heavy rain - we have (unfortunately / fortunately?) Not yet been able to try. The price-performance ratio seems realistic to us.
“
Overall impression:
„The Carpi II is a very good tent for shorter tours with not too much luggage (eg weekend trips with 2-3 nights), primarily in good weather.
At our campsite overnights it served only one night my husband and my son as a place to sleep, the other nights - because of the body length of my husband - unfortunately only as \"Materialzelt\". However, our children are thrilled and will certainly use the tent in the coming years (bike tours, festivals, parties ...).“

Test report from 03.03.2016
How long could you test the trekking tent?
„1 week“
Where did the test of the trekking tent take place?
„At the edge of the forest in Schwörstadt“
Bei welchem Wetter wurde das Trekkingzelt getestet?
„This week the weather was very changeable
So the tent was tested in sunshine, rain and thunderstorms.“
How many people have stayed in the tent?
„one person“
What was the first impression and packaging of the trekking tent like?
„Already the tent bag makes a very good impression. The tent also has enough space in it, so you do not have to worry beforehand that you get it when repacking only badly in the cover, and thus the cover would suffer. The handles for carrying and fastening (backpack, etc.) are well sewn. One has the impression that really high quality work has been done here.
“
How easy was it to set up the trekking tent during the first test?
„As expected, the assembly is no problem. The 2 can be easily inserted and tensioned. Then still put the over tent over it. Nice that you have here a click system to connect. So you can not do anything wrong. Then fasten with pegs. The 2 tension cords are adjustable as usual. So in a very short time the tent stands. You could also, if it rains, set it up in a dry place, put the flysheet over it, carry it to the actual place and tie it down briefly in the rain. So the tent would still be dry
“
How comfortable is the tent?
„For trekking conditions I find the tent very comfortable. In the inner tent it has many sewn-in pockets to store things. In the roof there is also a hanging compartment. Backpack and shoes, etc. can be placed on 2 sides outside the inner tent dry. The place is with narrow Isomatten sufficiently for 2 persons. So for hikers and cyclists with little luggage very well suited.
“
How practical is weight and packing size?
„With 3 kg, it is not necessarily one of the lightest tents among trekking tents. When hiking, however, it is exactly the low weight that counts.“
How good do you find the colour and geodesic construction?
„I personally find the color of the tent very well done.“
How easy is the trekking tent to take down and pack up?
„Just as easy as it is to set up, this tent can also be taken down again. Right on the first try, it also fit right back into the shell without any problems
“
How do you judge the price-performance ratio of the tent?
„For this low price you get a great functional tent with very good workmanship. What more could you want?“
Overall impression:
„My overall impression is very good. I have the impression that this tent will be a companion for many years.
Unfortunately, I could test the tent now only in our region for a week. In the summer I will test it for 2 weeks at the Atlantic Ocean. There I will see how it also proves itself in Wing.“

Test report from 02.03.2016
How long could you test the trekking tent?
„Unfortunately, only one day.“
Where did the test of the trekking tent take place?
„I put the tent in the garden“
Bei welchem Wetter wurde das Trekkingzelt getestet?
„It was a beautiful sunny day. There was hardly any wind.“
How many people have stayed in the tent?
„Unfortunately, I could not spend the night because it has not yet had the right weather with us.
But I think for two people the tent is too small. For one person but just right because you then still have some space for various things.“
What was the first impression and packaging of the trekking tent like?
„The packaging was very good with the tent. It was packed very small.“
How easy was it to set up the trekking tent during the first test?
„The tent was first spread out and checked whether everything was there.
It was very quickly clear which tent pole must go where. There is also a small manual with it.
And it was built up in about 15min in all peace.“
How comfortable is the tent?
„The tent is very low
But has practical way in the tent above to hang a net where you can put light different things. Such as the headlamp or the mobile phone......“
How practical is weight and packing size?
„The weight and pack size was very good to begin with. It is packed very small and the weight is good for a trekking tour or bike tour“
How good do you find the colour and geodesic construction?
„That it was my first tent in this design I find it very good. The color is very striking. But is actually a minor matter.“
How easy is the trekking tent to take down and pack up?
„The dismantling went very easily
But packing the tent in the pack sack was impossible. Since I no longer brought it together to the measure as it was previously packed
There should be quietly a little more space“
How do you judge the price-performance ratio of the tent?
„The price performance for this tent is ok“
Overall impression:
„The tent is very good in everything. It is ideal for smaller tours. By the fact that it has two entrances you can use if you want the one entrance as a storage room for your stuff. :-)
What was very good are the vents and the click system to retighten the attachment of the tent.“

Test report from 02.03.2016
How long could you test the trekking tent?
„i was able to test the tent in March to May. It was planned for motorcycle tours, but due to the weather (relatively cool) I built it in April in the garden. In early May I could then test it 2 times over the weekend at Lake Constance“
Where did the test of the trekking tent take place?
„on the one hand in the garden, on the other hand on a camping site at Lake Constance“
Bei welchem Wetter wurde das Trekkingzelt getestet?
„only in good weather, i.e. dry“
How many people have stayed in the tent?
„1 to 2“
What was the first impression and packaging of the trekking tent like?
„The tent bag has not only the middle handle loops, but also still at the bottom and top one each, which simplifies handling.
Contents of the tent bag:
Inner tent with sewn-on floor (not removable) for the vestibules
Outer skin (with 2 already attached neon yellow guy ropes)
2 plug-in lightweight aluminum poles held together by elastic cord
a net to attach to the inner tent roof
8 light but really strong aluminum ground pegs (not those cheap ones that bend immediately)
a sewn-in pitching instruction, but you don't really need it“
How easy was it to set up the trekking tent during the first test?
„The construction is really very easy. I have already built some tents and except for throw and quick pitch tents I have never needed so short for a tent. In under 5 minutes (and without stress and hassle) stood the tent!
Simply put the 2 tent poles together, insert them into the tabs sewn into the inner tent and put them into the eyelets at the bottom of the inner tent
Then use 4 pegs at the corners of the inner tent to secure the tent to the ground. Finally, place the outer skin over the tent; attach it to the loops of the inner tent with push-in fasteners on the corresponding counterparts, and then flare out the vestibules with 2 more pegs.
Finally, the 2 guy ropes are anchored to the large vents with ground nails. These guy ropes are in my opinion only necessary if stronger winds or storms are approaching, because the vents can also be exposed so.“
How comfortable is the tent?
„depends on the purpose ... alone it is large enough even for longer tours; in pairs it is expedient, because it is quite cramped. for a weekend trip for two it is always enough.
The entrance is via the two vestibules. It is also practical that one can fix the tent skin of the opening of the vestibules simply with a loop and a toggle and so the entrance remains open. The vestibules have a tent floor that is firmly connected to the inner tent floor
On the one hand, this is practical because the moisture from the floor is kept away from the things stored in the vestibules, on the other hand, you still have to see how it then really behaves in the rain or storm, whether there is not from one side of the vestibule floor damp and the water is then distributed over the entire floor.
The entrance to the inner tent can also be made via both sides. Likewise, both entrances have a mosquito net over the entire entrance opening.
In the inner tent there are a few storage pockets for the utensils that you should always have handy. On the inner tent canopy you can still attach a net, on which you can also store things
The length is given with 2 times 1.30 meters .... from experience I know that this is measured directly on the tent floor and depending on the slope of the tent wall from the 2 meters quickly times 1.80 m at head and foot height when lying and one touches the tent wall with the head and / or feet.
With this tent is not so .... with my just under 180 cm I touch neither above nor below the inner tent wall, which I find comfortable
S“
How practical is weight and packing size?
„due to the low weight(3 Kg) and the small pack size (36 cm by 18 cm by 18 cm) it even fits in a side case of my motorcycle.
“
How good do you find the colour and geodesic construction?
„The tent is really hard to miss; I would describe the color as bright light green. It is well made and has sealed seams. It is quite wind stable due to the geodesic design. Subjectively, it doesn't heat up that much either. Good are also the neon-colored guy ropes, over which you do not stumble so easily in the dark
“
How easy is the trekking tent to take down and pack up?
„the dismantling is just as fast to accomplish as the construction ... Only the packing in the tent bag requires some practice. The third time it was relatively smooth
“
How do you judge the price-performance ratio of the tent?
„For the money you get a well-made, relatively light tent with small pack size, which definitely serves its purpose. What really surprised me positively is the easy assembly and disassembly and the enclosed aluminum pegs; no cheap wire pegs
The Zet is in my opinion well worth the money.“
Overall impression:
„In width, the tent is quite sufficient for 2 people for short trips with not too much luggage; for more than 2 or 3 days, however, it is quite cramped. You can stow the luggage in the vestibules, but how that then behaves in the rain must still prove.
For one person, however, the tent is ideal in size for longer tours.
The tent is specified with a water column of 6000 mm, which promises at least for longer downpours a dry inner tent. How this behaves in reality, remains to be seen, although the specified water column is reassuring.
The Capri II is a well-made and well thought-out tent, which is well suited for motorcycle and bicycle tours due to the pack size and weight. Trekking tours are also conceivable with it
I will definitely take it on any weekend tour.“
