How long could you test the bus awning?
„A total of 9 days, spread over 3 dates.“
Where did the test take place?
„The first in the home garden; especially construction and processing. This is also where the photos were taken.
The second and so far third time then at model flying events.“
In which weatherconditions was the bus awning tested?
„The set-up test including overnight stay took place in dry weather. During the second test it was sunny throughout, only during the third set-up it was windy and it drizzled briefly.“
How positive is the first impression of the bus awning?
„The tent makes a very good impression. Processing, material and handling please me very well. In particular, the small details have thrilled me. These include sufficient loops to roll up the flaps or nets, the Velcro strips to lay cables and also the cable grommets on the tent walls. A wnig I have fallen in love with the sejr well visible guy ropes. From experience (with occasional ground contact...) tent cords are usually tripping hazards. These here are very easy to see, even in the dark.
Only the enclosed ground pegs are suboptimal in my eyes. Reasonable pegs would stand this tent well.“
How well can you manage to set up the tent?
„Overall, very comfortable and fast thanks to the air hoses and the associated access flap.
Whereby the connection to the vehicle could not quite convince, but this will be due to the universal usability. Unfortunately, not really good to build up alone, but at this Att tent no negative point.

How pleasant do you find the indoor climate in the awning?
„Tent typical indoor climate. When the sun shines on it, it is quickly warm and stuffy in the completely closed tent. Through the large windows but good to ventilate.

How comfortable did you find the bus awning during the test?
„The air hoses are great when setting up, but disturb a little by their volume. Otherwise, we had a camp bed on the left and right and thus enough space

How practical did you find the weight and packing size of the bus awning?
„Still ok, although the pump is relatively large. This ensures a quick filling of the air hoses, but I think to reduce the pack size a smaller pump would be quite sufficient
“
How do you like the look of the bus awning?
„Well... Gray and neon yellow is one of my favorite colors. In my personal case, therefore, a rather rethorical question. :-)“
How easy was it to dismantle and stow the bus awning?
„This tent also shares the problems of all other tents: The storage bag is large enough, but you have to pack very carefully and thoughtfully, otherwise the tent with accessories no longer fit inside. I would therefore like a bag that is 10-20cm larger in all directions. Even better would be a compression sack or similar, when folding is always a little too much air in the tent...

How do you rate the price-performance ratio?
„In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is given.“
Overall impression:
„The overall impression is very positive throughout. The universal usability on different vehicles requires of course the one or other compromise, but this does not detract from the result.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this tent.“

„Heavy rain, rain, sun, wind, that is, in any weather!“
How positive is the first impression of the bus awning?
„It was heavier and larger than expected (but I had not informed myself before) and I do not like the color.“
How well can you manage to set up the tent?
„After the first time it works well.“
How pleasant do you find the indoor climate in the awning?
„In rain and cold a good protection, especially with small electric stove in use. In the sun well ventilated.“
How comfortable did you find the bus awning during the test?
„Since we only have a small VW Transporter (T5) without a high roof, it was a definite space gain and a good place to be comfortable in cold and rainy weather.

How practical did you find the weight and packing size of the bus awning?
„Weight is not the problem. More compact would have been better for us, because not so much space in the small T5...
“
How do you like the look of the bus awning?
„The shape is ok. The color is very drab, a little military. Green, blue, beige or so, would be nicer, more cheerful and vacation.

How easy was it to dismantle and stow the bus awning?
„After the first time, it went quite quickly and easily. But have no comparison to an awning with poles.“
How do you rate the price-performance ratio?
„There are significantly cheaper tents. However, I can not judge whether and how they differ in quality.“
Overall impression:
„The tent has really proven itself. For camping with a T5 transporter without a high roof and simple self-expansion, it was a clear gain in comfort. It is very solid and can withstand all weather. It is easy to set up and you can easily leave it when you make smaller trips with the car.
For us, after 6 weeks of camping is clear: Never again without awning!“

„Of course, it heats up very much in the sun, but that is normal for a tent.“

„The floor could not be laid out smoothly, so it was very wavy.“

In which weatherconditions was the bus awning tested?
„We had one night of heavy rain at the beginning, then mostly sunny with one more rainy day, temperatures about 18-23 degrees Celsius during the day, 13-17 degrees Celsius at night.“
How positive is the first impression of the bus awning?
„We immediately had the thought that the tent would certainly be good to set up. The material (tent panels) seemed normal good, the colored cords are positively noticed, but also already known from eg Outwell

How well can you manage to set up the tent?
„The assembly is easy and goes quickly from the hand. The system with the inflatable poles has convinced us.
But: Instructions for attaching the tent to the bus is missing. The various ways (depending on the system) to attach the tent are not clear, the function of the pole and the clamps is unclear at first, you have to \"work out" yourself. Therefore, only \"well\" instead of \"very well\".

„We personally have no comparison, as we have never owned a bus awning. The price seems a bit high to us - pack size/weight and the new type of air poles are two really good reasons to buy this tent, but whether they justify the extra price compared to a comparable tent with conventional poles remains to be seen

„We are overall satisfied with the tent. For our situation (2 adults, 1 child, stroller) a little more space would have been better. "
