Product description
Venus GX
The Venus GX offers intuitive operation and monitoring of all Victron power systems. The list of Victron products that can be connected to it is endless: Inverters, Multis, Quattros, MPPT solar chargers, BMV, Lynx Ion + Shunt and many more
VRM Online Portal
All readings are forwarded to our free remote monitoring website: the VRM Online Portal
Remote Console on the VRM
The set-up and monitoring is done via the Remote Console. Either via the VRM, via the built-in WiFi access point or via the local LAN/WiFi network
Automatic genset start/stop
A highly flexible start/stop system. Use of charge, voltage, load and even more parameters. Specific settings for rest periods and optionally a monthly test run can be set
The heart of the ESS - Energy Storage System
The Venus GX is the energy manager in an ESS
Data logging
If the system is connected to the internet, all data is sent to the VRM portal. If no internet connection is available, the Venus GX will store data internally for up to 48 hours. Even more data can be stored by inserting a micro SD card or USB flash drive. These files can be uploaded to the VRM portal or converted offline for analysis using the VictronConnect app.
Internet connection
The Venus GX can be connected to the internet with an Ethernet cable and via Wi-Fi. The Venus GX does not have an internal cellular modem: there is no slot for a sim card. Instead, use a standard GPRS or 3 G router. Please see the blog post about 3G routers
Tank Level Gauge Inputs
The inputs for the tank level indicator are resistive: connect them to a resistive tank transmitter. Such tank transmitters are not offered by Victron. The tank level indicator ports can each be configured to work with European tank transmitters (0 - 180 ohms), or with US tank transmitters (240 - 30 ohms)
More highlights
The Venus GX can automatically update itself via the Internet when a new software version is available
