A solar charger is supplied with energy from solar modules and then stores it in batteries. Using the latest and fastest technology, SmartSolar maximizes this energy production and intelligently directs it to fully charge the batteries in the shortest possible time. The SmartSolar maintains the functionality of the battery, extending its life
Remote monitoring and control
You can remotely control and monitor the extensive features of your SmartSolar MMPT Charger by attaching a Bluetooth dongle and pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. When your system is connected to the Victron Remote Management Internet Portal (VRM), you have full access to your MPPT anytime, anywhere. Both services are available free of charge. For remote installations - even if there is no Internet connection and no telephone network available nearby - you can monitor your MPPT via Bluetooth coupling

Ultrafast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
Especially on overcast skies, when light intensity is constantly changing, an extremely fast MPPT controller improves energy output by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers. By continuously monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar (PV) modules, MPPT technology ensures that all energy available is extracted from the modules and stored. The advantage of this is most noticeable when the sky is partially overcast and the light intensity is constantly changing.
Advanced Maximum Power Point detection for partial shading
In case of partial shading, two or more points of maximum power (MPP) may be present on the current-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to adjust to a local MPP. However, this may not be the optimal MPP
The innovative algorithm of the BlueSolar device will always maximize the energy yield by adjusting to the optimal MPP

Flexible charging algorithms
Fully programmable loading algorithm (see also the software page on our website) and eight pre-programmed algorithms that can be selected via a rotary knob (see our manual for more details)
