Product description
The multi-fuel burner X2 is a fast option and is particularly suitable for extreme weather conditions such as very low temperatures. Especially suitable for experienced users in demanding climates and environments.
The unit is slightly more complicated to operate than other burners, requiring preheating and regular maintenance. This burner can be used with gas or oil-based liquid fuels. Suitable for gas containers with propane/butane mixture, the valve complies with the international standard EN417 threaded (7/16 NS Lindal valve). These gas cylinders are available in most countries of the world. Well known brands of high quality gas cylinders are for example: Primus, MSR, Optimus & Jet boil
Our recommendation is primarily to use gas or high-quality liquid fuels such as chemically pure gasoline (alkylate gasoline, environmental gasoline) or Primus Powerfuel.
These fuels have the highest possible energy content, burn very cleanly, and require the least amount of cleaning and maintenance. Kerosene and diesel should be used only in absolute emergencies and require a great deal of cleaning. Regular 95 octane gasoline should not be used at all. Note that the quality of these types of fuels varies around the world.
If you are going on a long hike or expedition, we strongly recommend that you always carry tools and a service kit for your kitchen. For trouble-free use of the burner, please read the enclosed instructions. There you will also find instructions for cleaning and care. From the beginning, you should open your burner regularly for maintenance. This prevents parts from sticking and keeps the nozzle and fuel line clean and open.
