New twist for fresh waffles - the reversible waffle iron
The reversible waffle iron is a cast-iron mould with which you can prepare both savoury and sweet waffles in no time at all. With the accompanying support stand, you get a perfectly fitting base on which you can place the waffle iron to prevent it from tipping over and slipping.
The waffle mould consists of two parts that are connected by a hinge. Pre-formed indentations provide the cast iron mould with a firm position in the frame. The locking mechanism holds the iron together and keeps it securely closed during the turning process: so your waffle batter won't flow out of the mould. With the help of the natural wooden handles, you can easily turn the waffle iron with one hand, even at higher temperatures. The long cast iron nose on the side forms the turning stop point on the support frame. This allows the iron to be turned 180° and then return to the correct point of contact with the frame. With the reversible waffle iron, preparing fresh heart-shaped waffles is easy.
And you don't have to miss out on the characteristic taste that comes with traditional cooking with cast iron.

Ideally, this should be at least the diameter of your waffle iron. This is necessary so that you can move your waffle iron freely and turn it smoothly.
An ideal outdoor cooking area for using the reversible waffle iron is the Atago: The frame of the waffle iron fits perfectly on the upper edge. At the same time, the distance between the support frame and the charcoal grate is large enough to bake the waffles with indirect heat. This way you achieve best results and have enough distance for clever turning manoeuvres.
