about the authors
Harald Barth, born in 1953, has traveled to almost all European countries as well as North America, Canada, and Alaska by canoe, hitchhiking, and motorhome. On these journeys he was also able to expand his already twenty years of fishing experience and acquire knowledge about fishing opportunities in other countries. In addition, his enthusiasm for fishing and his knowledge of the subject found expression in numerous articles for fishing magazines
At the tender age of three, Ronald Metzger accompanied his father on carp stalks at the Gröberweiher and on pike and grayling fishing trips in the Sempt near Munich. His enthusiasm for fishing was not dampened by an involuntary swim in the pond, which could have ended his career as an author at an early stage. In addition, he enjoys camping, mountain hiking, cycling and canoeing, ornithology and has a great interest in everything that flies and crawls.
