The CASAT850ST receives 12 satellites, controlled by DiSEqC via the TV set. opening and closing the mirror is conveniently done with the TV remote control of a Caratec TV set with Smart-D function.
If one day an update should be necessary, it can easily be done via MicroSD card. The connection between the roof unit and the control unit is made with only one cable, which can be disconnected at the roof unit. The antennas have encapsulated and ball bearing gears
All Caratec satellite antennas have of course a safety circuit and retract automatically when the vehicle engine is switched on. They can be ideally combined with all Caratec TVs with integrated HD satellite receiver
Of course, a possibly already existing satellite receiver or TV set can still be used.
