Product description
All MT high-performance solar modules of the BLACK LINE series are equipped with 72 individual solar cells instead of the usual 36. This MultiCell-Technology(MC) ensures optimal power output in every working range and in all weather conditions. This is because independent comparative tests have shown that by doubling the cells, an increase in performance is possible not only in optimal weather conditions, but especially also in very unfavorable weather conditions. In direct comparison with 36-cell solar modules, MC solar modules also react less sensitively to partial shading.
Every MT solar module passes the following minimum requirement:
The requirements for the frame construction are also different from those for normal standard modules. On the one hand, the frames must be torsion-resistant in order to protect the upper glass plate, and on the other hand, it must be ensured that any superstructure movements that occur are compensated for. In order to ensure years of reliable operation, a pressure waterproof junction box is mounted on the back of the module, which cannot be penetrated by moisture even at high speeds. Nevertheless, it is possible to open the junction box (V4 screws) in order to connect further solar modules in parallel if required. This has the advantage that only one charging cable ever has to be routed into the interior.

Regardless of the power, all BLACK LINE solar modules can be interconnected on the roof.
For more than 25 years we have been developing solar modules exclusively for recreational vehicles. From our own experience we know exactly what is important. In the summer, we too much prefer to stand on a pitch near a tree. Or the SAT dish remains set up and at some point during the day a part of the solar module will inevitably be shaded. These, and a few other reasons, led us a few years ago to fundamentally rethink the usual cell construction of a solar module.
The result is the MultiCell solar modules. By using laser technology, we double the number of monocrystalline high-performance cells, but connect them not as usual completely in series, but also parallel to each other. To explain it figuratively, several (12 V) solar fields are practically created in one frame housing. The module is now far less affected by shading than a standard 36-cell solar module connected in series. Voltage is still available at the junction box of our modules to charge 12 V on-board batteries. In contrast to some other models on the market. Here they also advertise 72 cells, but this is just an off-the-shelf solar module for 24 V home systems. To get to 12 V charging voltage, a special MPP controller must be used here.
Every MT solar module passes the following minimum requirement:
- 200 temperature changes from -40 °C to 85 °C with partial extreme exposure to 85 % humidity
- Impact resistance test with hailstones
- Any outdoor use under extreme heat and humidity conditions
- Mechanical strength at wind speeds up to 225 km/h
- Absolute continuous vibration resistance; also suitable for extreme operating conditions (expedition use)
