Camping experienced from a new angle

A roof tent is mounted like a roof box on the vehicle or trailer. When unfolded, it quickly becomes a sleeping facility for up to 4 people on the roof of the car. A roof tent can be mounted on almost all small cars, vans and off-road vehicles.
Roof tents are made with synthetic tent fabrics. These are lightweight and easy to fold. Synthetic fabrics are waterproof and yet breathable.

Roof tent mounting thanks to roof racks

In order to mount a roof tent on your car, you need roof racks, which are mounted on the car roof. The load capacity of the roof racks must be high enough to support the roof tent. For driving on paved roads two roof racks are sufficient. Off-road and on unpaved roads you should consider mounting four roof racks under the roof tent.

Sleeping possibilities in the roof tent

The number of people who can sleep in a roof tent varies. The sleeping area can easily be entred via the height-adjustable ladder supplied.

Good equipment as standard

Most roof tents have fly screens on the windows. Some hard-shell roof tents also have small vents in the shells. All roof tents have a telescopic ladder which is stowed either in the roof tent or between the car and the tent. A comfortable mattress is fitted in all car roof tents. On some roof tents it is possible to mount an additional roof rack.

Accessories for car roof tents

An awning creates more storage space and living space. In the space under the roof tent you can sit comfortably, eat and stow shoes or bicycles. The awning is attached to the car roof tent by means of a keder.
A sun canopy is attached to the tent by means of a zip. It offers optimal protection against the sun, but also keeps out light rain.
Thanks to the inner tent, you can also spend cooler nights in the roof tent. This is because the cotton inner tent creates a double-walled car roof tent, which provides the best possible insulation and improves the climate in the tent.
There are practical storage nets for roof tents. These can be hung outside under the roof tent or inside under the roof. You can store clothes, shoes or accessories there.
