Votronic TS-Battery Charger PFPN 1204 On Board Charging Converter

Fully automatic DC charger according to DIN 14679 for charge maintenance and recharging from the 12V or 24V vehicle electrical system (switchable) for the 12 V starter battery of portable fire pumps (TS/PFPN), mobile generators and gensets. The adjustable charging current from 1 A to 4 A is designed for battery capacities from 6 to 100 Ah. Charging starts automatically as soon as the vehicle's on-board battery is charged while driving or when connected to the mains.

Four adjustable, 6-stage IU1oU2oU3 charging characteristics each for acid, gel and AGM1/AGM2 starter battery types as well as modern lithium LiFePO4 batteries ensure a fully adequate and monitoring-free main, maintenance or gentle storage charge.

In case of lead batteries, an automatic battery regeneration and the switchable battery trainer keep the battery fit during longer standstill times. Input and output are galvanically isolated from each other. This prevents corrosion at the device plug-in unit (leakage currents) and a breakdown of the 24 V/12 V on-board power supply, as well as maintaining the charging voltages or clean ground conditions.

The charging plug is automatically de-energized after disconnection to prevent plug corrosion and short circuits. The device has a clear display of the battery status as well as an optical and acoustic alarm signal. an additional indicator light for "Charge OK" can be connected via a potential-free signal contact. The robust housing protects against water and dirt (protection class IP 65).

The PFPN 1204 Fc version, however, is additionally equipped with pass-through FIRECAN signals.
