Votronic MPP 260 CI solar charge controller

Solar regulator for motorhomes, caravans and boats. The solar regulator is specially designed for use in motorhomes and caravans and is suitable for all lead-acid battery types and makes (acid, GEL/dryfit and AGM/fleece batteries)
and makes (acid, GEL/dryfit and AGM/fleece batteries). Through intelligent microprocessor control the batteries are optimally
charged with IU1oU2 characteristics. The solar controller works fully automatic and maintenance-free and offers the following functions:

• MPP charge current increase compared to conventional controllers by 10% to 30% (efficiency > 95%) due to the use of the latest controller technology (microprocessor). The increase in performance is particularly noticeable during the cooler seasons and, for example, during periods of high snow, low and diffuse lighting (hibernation).
• For charging lead-gel, lead-AGM, lead-acid batteries or LiFePO4 complete batteries (with integrated BMS, balancing, safety circuit and approval!) of the specified nominal voltages and the co-supply of consumers connected to these batteries in permanently installed systems with the specified battery capacities and charging programs.
• The charging voltage is free of peaks and regulated in such a way that overcharging of the batteries is excluded.
• Two battery charging outputs: Automatic charging of the main supply on-board battery (BORD I) and back-up charging and charge maintenance (max. 1 A) of the vehicle starter battery (Start II) with protection against overcharging.
• monitoring-free charging: Standard protection against overload, overheating, reverse polarity and battery back discharge (in case of insufficient solar power e.g. dusk, night etc.).
• Parallel/buffer operation: Compliance with charging regulations even with simultaneous operation of loads.
• overcharge protection: regulates the charging current of the battery back in case of too much solar power and full battery, ensures the highest possible state of charge of the battery in case of power consumption by immediate recharging.
• "IU1oU2" charging characteristic: defined charging voltage increase (U1) prevents harmful acid stratification (lead) and provides equalization charging of individual battery cells (lead and lith.), then automatic trickle charging (U2).
• Charging cable compensation: Voltage losses on the charging cables are automatically compensated.
• On-board power supply filter: problem-free parallel operation with wind and motor generators, mains chargers, alternators, etc.
• CI-Bus connection: for displaying all relevant data on a central vehicle display
• Measurement output for EBL, possibly existing electric block in the living area of the vehicle: Enables the convenient use of a (solar) current display built into the electric block to check the solar system.

• Switching output "AES" (only MPP 260 CI, MPP 360 CI and MPP 440 CI): Causes automatic switching of refrigerators with "AES" (Automatic Energy Selector, Electrolux / Dometic) from gas to 12 V operation in case of permanently abundant solar power surplus.
• Connection for battery temperature sensor (part no. 2001): For lead batteries, automatic adjustment of charging voltage to battery temperature, causes better full charging of weaker battery in cold weather, avoids unnecessary battery gassing and load in summer temperatures.
  LiFePO4 batteries: Battery protection at high and especially at low temperatures.Highly recommended when the battery temperature may drop below 0°C during operation.
