Product description
The MultiPlus Compact is a powerful pure sine wave inverter, an advanced battery charger utilizing adaptive charging technology, and a high speed AC transfer switch in a single compact package. There are 2 models to choose from, 1600VA and 2000VA respectively.
Two AC outputs
The main output ensures uninterrupted operation. In case of mains failure or interruption of shore/generator power, the MultiPlus takes over the supply of the connected loads. Switching occurs so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic equipment is guaranteed. The second output supplies power only when AC power is available at one of the inputs of the MultiPlus. Consumers that are not allowed to discharge the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output.
Virtually unlimited power through parallel connection
Up to six Multis can be connected in parallel for high power requirements.
Three-phase operation
Apart from the parallel connection, three units of the same model can also be configured for three-phase output. But that's not all: up to six sets of three units can be connected in parallel.
PowerControl - working with limited generator power, limited shore power or limited mains power
The MultiPlus is a very powerful battery charger. Therefore, it draws a lot of power from the generator or shore power supply. The Multi Control remote control panel can be used to set the maximum shore or generator current to be drawn. The MultiPlus then takes into account other connected AC consumers and uses only the current that is "left over" for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection from being overloaded.
PowerAssist - "power enhancement" of generators and shore power assistance
This function adds a new dimension to the PowerControl principle. It enables the MultiPlus to support alternative sources that are too weak. Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that shore power or generator output that is too weak is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e. if consumers are switched off, the energy that is then sufficiently available again can be used to charge the batteries.
Solar power: alternating current even in the event of a power failure
The MultiPlus can be used with both non-grid-connected and grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems, as well as with other alternative energy systems. Grid failure detection software is available.
System configuration
Several options are available: Battery Monitor, Multi Control Panel, Color Control GX and other GX devices, smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or computer (USB or RS232).
remote monitoring and control
Color Control GX and other GX devices. Data can be stored and viewed on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website free of charge.
Remote configuration
If systems with a Color Control GX and other GX devices are connected to the Ethernet, they can be accessed and settings can be changed remotely.

System configuration
- If settings need to be changed on a single unit, it can be done in minutes using a DIP switch setting procedure.
- Parallel and three-phase systems can be configured using VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator software.
- Off-grid, grid-tie, and self-consumption systems using grid-tie inverters and/or MPPT solar chargers can be configured using wizards (associated software for each system).
