UPF 50 according to DIN EN 13758-1 means that less than 2 percent (< 1/50) of harmful UV rays penetrate the fabric of your VAUDE equipment or clothing. Since VAUDE products do not contain any chemical titanium dioxide, UV protection is achieved solely through fiber selection, weave and thickness of the material.

Stretch - great freedom of movement and high comfort
VAUDE products with stretch offer you perfect wearing comfort. The elasticity of the material is achieved through the elastane content and/or the knitted or woven construction. This gives you maximum freedom of movement during your outdoor activities.
Mass balance recycling - chemical recycling process
Recycled polyamide, for which a certified mass balance process is used. Pyrolysis oil is extracted from used tires and added to the conventional polyamide production process. Chemical recycling enables us to save fossil raw materials. Another advantage: compared to conventional polyamide production, 60% fewer CO2 emissions* are produced. The polyamide obtained in this environmentally friendly way has exactly the same properties as conventional polyamide made from crude oil.
