Once installed in the engine compartment, this device will drive martens away from the vehicle through a combination of aggressive ultrasound and high-voltage electric shocks. ultrasound with constantly changing frequency 23 to 27 kHz is emitted via the special speaker in the control unit. This prevents a habituation effect. Martens can hear this ultrasound. It does not harm them, but it is very unpleasant for them and quickly drives them away.
