A voltage converter is a device used to change the voltage from one level to another.
A voltage converter may be necessary for mobile air conditioners,
because many mobile air conditioners require a mains voltage of 230 V.
If the vehicle or boat on which the air conditioner is used has only a 24 V supply,
a voltage converter must be used to convert 24 V to 230 V.
