Fully automatic 11-step battery charger with 4A charging current.

The car battery charger is an 11-step car battery charger suitable for charging and trickle charging of 6V or 12V lead-acid batteries (batteries) with liquid electrolyte (WET), maintenance-free lead-acid batteries (MF), gel electrolyte (GEL) or electrolyte absorbing mats (AGM).

Select the desired charging voltage (6V or 12V) and the microprocessor-controlled charger will do everything fully automatically until the charging cycle is completed and the batteries are fully charged. The German language display is easy to understand and comfortable to use. Thanks to the test function, battery charge levels can be determined before charging and the integrated memory function continues the charging process even after power interruptions without having to start from the beginning.
Six charging programs are available. The fully automatic battery charging takes place in 11 charging steps.

Modern safety technology with reverse polarity protection, overheating protection, overload protection and short-circuit protection protects you and the device from incorrect operation. Two cables with quick connectors and comfort plugs (permanent charging cable with ring eyelets for fixed installation & charging cable with pliers) are included with the jet water protected and dustproof device (protection class IP65).

Suitable for continuous charging

For continuous charging, the eyelet cables are permanently mounted on the vehicle battery to be charged.
The car battery charger is connected to the eyelet cable via a quick-connector plug.
This is very practical, because the eyelet cables can remain permanently on the battery.

Test function/battery tester

With 12-volt batteries the battery tester works without mains connection. Simply connect the pole terminals and the LCD display shows the voltage of the battery. For 6-volt batteries, a mains connection is required.

Memory function

The microprocessor in the charger has a memory function. If the 230V supply is interrupted during the charging process, the unit stores the previously selected charging program.
When the mains power supply is restored, the unit starts automatically and continues charging in the last selected program.

6 programs

• Program 1: 6 V (7.2 V/1 A)
  Suitable for 6 V batteries with a capacity between 1.2 Ah and 14 Ah in normal condition. Charging program for WET, MF batteries and most GEL batteries.
• Program 2: 6V (7.4V/1A)
  Suitable for 6V batteries with a capacity between 1.2 Ah and 14 Ah in cold conditions (from 10 °C and colder). This charging program is also designed for many AGM batteries
• Program 3: 12V (14.4V/1A)
  Suitable for 12V batteries with a capacity between 1.2 Ah and 14 Ah in normal condition. Charging program for WET, MF batteries and most GEL batteries.
• Program 4: 12V (14.7V/1A)
  Suitable for 12V batteries with a capacity between 1.2 Ah and 14 Ah in cold conditions (from 10°C and colder). This charging program is also designed for many AGM batteries.
• Program 5: 12V (14.4V/4A)
  Suitable for 12V batteries with a capacity between 14 Ah and 120 Ah in normal conditions. Charging program for WET, MF batteries and most GEL batteries.
• Program 6: 12V (14.7V/4A)
  Suitable for 12V batteries with a capacity between 14 Ah and 120 Ah in cold condition (from 10 °C and colder). This charging program is also designed for many AGM batteries.

11 charging steps

• Step 1 - MEASUREMENT
  After correct connection, the LCD display provides an initial indication of the state of charge and the condition of the battery.
• Step 2 - INITIALISATION AND BREAKING UP OF SULFATISATION
  Check the condition of the battery to determine the charging process.
• Step 3 - SOFT START
  Starts the charging process with ½ value at preselected 4A current.
  Thus, the battery is slowly preheated to allow a complete charge.
• Steps 4-7 - CONSTANT CURRENT CHARGE
  Delivers 85% of the battery capacity by charging at 4 different currents, which fully charge the battery.
• Step 8 - CONSTANT VOLTAGE CHARGE
  Brings the charge level to 95% at maximum charge voltage by gradually reducing the current, which limits the gas evolution of the battery and thus prolongs the battery life.
• Step 9 - CONSUMPTION CHARGE
  Stops charging and brings the battery to maximum capacity at float charge voltage.
• Step 10 - ANALYSIS/REGENERATION
  The charging current is switched off and it is checked whether the battery can maintain the voltage. If the voltage drop is too great, the regeneration mode is started to restore lost capacity.
• Step 11 - MAINTENANCE
  Monitors the battery condition. If the battery voltage drops below a certain value, the last selected charging program is restarted. This preserves the battery's state of charge in the gentlest possible way and without overcharging.
