The Petromax Atago is an absolute all-rounder and can be used as a barbecue, oven, stove and fire bowl.
Charcoal, charcoal briquettes and firewood can be used to fire the Atago. From its four basic functions, numerous cooking methods and preparation variations result.
In combination with a Petromax fire pot or grill and fire bowl, the Atago becomes a first class stove and oven.
The cast-iron fire pot (e.g. the Petromax ft3 (Item No. 487230), ft6 (Item No. 487240) or ft9 (Item No. 487250) is simply placed on the glowing briquettes in the Petromax Atago.
For pan recipes, the Petromax grill and fire bowl can be placed without legs on top of the round opening of the Atago. Since the shell or the fire pot is surrounded by the Atago, an optimum heat yield is ensured.
To use the product in a classic way as a barbecue, you simply put on the grill included in the scope of delivery. If the Atago is used without a grill, it can be used to prepare a hot drink with a percolator or tea kettle or to light a cosy campfire for the evening.
Unique two-cylinder construction:
The two-cylinder design of the Petromax Atago is not only a special eye-catcher, but stores the heat inside so effectively that the outer cylinder barely heats up, even during prolonged operation.
Efficient heating with the "chimney effect":
The highly refined construction of the Atago makes it possible to optimally use the chimney effect. By means of the infinitely adjustable air supply, the temperature can be regulated as desired, whereby a maximum opening ensures an exceptionally fast heating. In addition, the round recesses in the material ensure optimum ventilation
Ready to use with just one hand:
Thanks to the unique folding mechanism, the Petromax Atago can be used with just one hand. And it is just as easy to fold back up again.
With a height of only 15 cm in the folded condition, it can be stowed in a very efficient, space-saving manner.
