Rescue blanket with gold and silver layer. Complies with DIN regulation 13164. Should not be missing in any car, hiking or travel luggage
To complement your first aid kit. Super small and extremely lightweight. To keep warm, please turn the silver side towards the person and wrap them completely in the rescue blanket (leave face exposed!). Do not wrap too tightly.
The rescue blanket warms only by reflection of body heat radiation. The rescue blanket should close tightly and not flutter. In ice and snow the gold colored side of the blanket is easily visible and is also usually understood as a call for help
To protect against overheating, you can stretch the emergency blanket as a sunscreen but do not wrap the person. Silver to the sun gives 99%, gold to the sun gives 97% IR protection.
