Application:
- Plug the tester onto the vehicle socket. If the vehicle is equipped with a 13-pin socket, insert the adapter (with cover) in between.
- Switch on the ignition and perform all functions with the help of a 2nd person
test. If the socket is correctly assigned, the following lights up
the corresponding display (when flashing, the display flashes with).
Check the trailer connector:
- Insert the 9V battery into the battery compartment of the tester with the correct polarity.
- Plug the tester onto the trailer connector. If necessary, insert the 13-pin adapter (without cover) in between.
- Press the yellow test button. If the trailer with all functions (flashing, rear and brake light, rear fog light)
all 6 indicators must light up when the test button is pressed. Please note that not all
Trailers are equipped with a rear fog light.
In this case, the relevant indicator (blue) does not light up.
Troubleshooting tips:
- The colours behind the indicators show the standard cable colour of the respective wire.
- If no indicator lights up during the test, the ground line is usually interrupted. When testing trailers, check that the
9 V battery is full, otherwise replace. - If individual displays are missing, check the corresponding bulbs and the wiring to them.
- Clean plug/socket contacts (make them blank) and check the tightness of the contact screws in plug/socket.
