Katadyn water filters are also easy to clean and maintain in the field. The microporous structure of each filter is complemented by impregnated silver to inhibit bacterial growth
The pore size of all Katadyn ceramic filters is 0.2 micron (0.0002 mm). Bacteria range in size from 0.2 to 5 microns and can therefore be filtered out efficiently, as can protozoa (1 to 15 microns). Ceramic filter elements can be easily cleaned. Their filtering capacity is measurable.
