about the author
Norbert and Uschi Bobrich, born 53 and 54, had 25 years of experience in traveling tropical countries, when they decided to give up their professional life at the age of 50 and to make traveling their purpose in life for a few years. Without further ado, they sold their large house and all the furniture and continued living in cramped quarters in a mobile home. In addition to the experiences during their several years of travel through Europe, they can draw on motorhome experience in Australia, New Zealand, Namibia and South America.
Brief description
This book is intended for anyone who enjoys traveling in general and with a motor home in particular. It is neither a guidebook nor a manual for RV living, although it does contain some tips. Rather, it is intended to provide behind-the-scenes insights into everyday RV life in an entertaining way. This includes pseudo-philosophical reflections on the inhabitants of motorhomes (womosapiens) and their behavior
It describes how they evolved into what they are and what subspecies exist. Although the experiences of the 100,000 km journey are reflected in it, it is not a travelogue. In addition to factual data and facts, feelings, sensations and observations play a major role. In particular, it sheds light on how two people live together in a confined space who were used to a life with a house and garden
The description of everyday RV life, with all the amenities as well as the pitfalls and obstacles, can help aspiring Womosapiens intensify or possibly revise their ideas about RV life. Longtime Womosapiens will meet themselves or recognize their RV neighbors again and can confirm one or the other experience.
