Picture quality

Smart TV Bundle
This bundle turns the CAV220X-DB into a Smart TV. This makes virtually all sources available, whether classic TV via satellite or antenna, DVD, streaming from your smartphone or Internet TV. The operation is carried out quite simply via the TV remote control, regardless of the source. With the also included remote control of the TV Stick even voice control is possible.

Smart TV Stick
You can download your favorite streaming and gaming apps (e.g. Prime Video, Netflix or the TV channels' media libraries) from the Google Play Store and be entertained for hours. The TV Stick features Android TV 9.0, which supports voice search and Chromecast - giving you access to countless content. Watch your favorite TV series, play games, watch news or listen to the radio. Thanks to built-in Chromecast, you can easily stream videos and other content from your smartphone, tablet or laptop directly to your TV screen in 1080p.

Terrestrial reception
The built-in DVB-T2 HD receiver allows you to receive terrestrial TV programs. This digitally broadcast program you receive the public channels in HD quality in many areas of Germany. A subscription is required for private channels. The CAM fits easily into the CI slot of the device. A small active DVB-T2 antenna is included with the device, so you can get started right away.

Digital satellite reception
The built-in DVB-S2 receiver, in combination with a satellite antenna such as the Caratec CASAT series, allows you to receive your favorite channel at your vacation destination. The reception range depends on the antenna, but Europe is largely covered. With the Caratec TV sets you can receive not only TV programs can also many radio stations via satellite. For encrypted channels, the TV set has a CI+ slot. Often, setting up a TV set for satellite reception is quite troublesome. Not so with Caratec TV sets, because country-specific channel lists are already pre-installed. A lengthy search is therefore unnecessary in most cases and you are ready to go immediately.

DVD player
Do you like to take your DVDs with you on your travels? No problem, a DVD player is already built into the TV. It is so flat that it does not require any additional installation depth.

USB port
videos in many formats can be played quite easily via the two USB ports. The USB port can also be used as a power supply for the Smart TV stick, for example.

HDMI connection
Although everything is actually already in there, we've included two HDMI ports. You never know. Additional devices can be connected to them. Connecting smartphones with HDMI ports is also possible, of course. A CEC control is integrated or can be retrofitted via a software update.

Case
As compact as possible, yet stable. The housings of our TVs are made to travel with you. That's why they are built more robustly than devices for home use. At the same time, the housings are as flat as possible so that they can fit on Caratec TV mounts even in tight installation positions. The CAV220X-DB has an almost frameless panel. This makes this device even more compact and elegant than the devices of the other series.

Sound
Honestly, it's hard to get really great sound out of compact enclosures. However, since good sound is very important to us, we have continued to optimize the sound of the built-in speakers over the years. So that you can also hear something when rain pelts the roof and so that you can also understand dialogs well. If you have somewhat more demanding requirements, we recommend taking a look at our "invisible soundbar" CAS100BT or pairing the TV with the vehicle's audio system. For this purpose, we gave our TVs two outputs: the headphone output and an additional high-quality fixed-level connection. these two RCA jacks allow the TV to be connected to the moniceiver or navigation system in the same way as you are used to from your home hi-fi system. The devices of the Exclusive series have a Bluetooth transmitter on board. This allows Bluetooth speakers or headphones to be conveniently connected to the TV. Ideal also to listen to home satellite radio in front of the camper.

Energy consumption
Caratec TV sets use energy sparingly. Due to the EU regulation in force since 1.3.2021, they are admittedly classified in energy efficiency class E. Nevertheless, of course, they do not consume more energy than before, when they were A or A+. This means that even long periods of watching TV without shore power are no problem: a CAV220 model/ CAV240 model only draws around 2.5 Ah from the battery during a feature film.

Designed for mobile homes and other motor vehicles
Caratec TV sets are designed for use in motor vehicles. Therefore, they are tested and approved according to ECE R10. The built-in power supply is also specially designed for this application and therefore works in a wide voltage range of 9-30 V (CAV320P-D: 10-30V)

Accessories
Stand and power supply are optionally available and not included in the scope of delivery, because they are usually not needed for the TV.
