Caratec Audio CAS205 sound system for fully integrated motorhomes with speakers in the dashboard. The active Caratec Plug & Play sound system CAS205 and optimizes the sound of the existing speakers in the vehicle.
It consists of a compact 6-channel amplifier with integrated DSP, a subwoofer and a plug-and-play wiring harness. The set includes two compact speakers for the living area, which are very easy to integrate thanks to the three included housing options for recessed, surface and corner mounting.

The active Caratec Plug & Play sound system consists of a compact amplifier (6-channel) with integrated digital signal processor (DSP) and a subwoofer. The amplifier optimizes the sound of the speakers present in the vehicle and drives the powerful subwoofer. This creates a completely new and convincing sound experience in the blink of an eye. The subwoofer and the relief of the originally installed speakers from low frequencies result in a much clearer, lively sound image. Speech intelligibility is also significantly improved. The plug & play wiring harness for the ISO connectors of the radio allows connection and installation in a very short time, separate connections to the vehicle are not required. The subwoofer is usually mounted under the passenger seat or the driver's seat. If there is no space there, it is also possible to mount it in another place (e.g. behind the driver's seat instead of the cover). If required, a 2m extension cable CAZ100L is optionally available. The rear speakers are connected to the leads available at the body interface. Cables and plugs are included in the scope of delivery.

Caratec's sound systems use digital amplifiers to drive the vehicle's loudspeakers and also offer a dedicated subwoofer. On the one hand the series loudspeakers are relieved, because they must play only in their traditional frequency ranges and are released from the bass playback - that alone gives already once clearly more sound quality. On the other hand, the control is carried out with considerably more power. The total power is 180 watts (sine wave) or 360 watts (music).

This is made possible by a high-tech amplifier with a circuit board that is just half the size of a postcard. It contains a converter that converts the analog signals from the four speaker outputs of the series radio into digital material. The drive is provided by a double voice coil in combination with a particularly generously dimensioned ferrite magnet, which results in optimal Thiele/Small parameters.
