The MT Lithium Power batteries are also designed by us for the needs in touring vehicles. The discharge currents are adapted accordingly for these battery types. Larger consumers can thus be operated or high capacities can be stored and kept available. The specially adapted battery management system (BMS) also monitors the batteries internally and allows the use of a larger inverter to operate a powerful automatic coffee maker or a hairdryer with 2,000 watts, even when only one on-board battery is used. The battery terminals in these two versions are designed with M8 threads, so the connections can be screwed on directly.

The PowerUnit enables the simpleand safe combination of an MT lithium power battery with the existing on-board battery (AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat)/gel/liquid acid). Monitoring and control of the system is handled by the battery computer control

This is connected to the BMS (Battery Management System) of the lithium battery and prevents further charging by the existing charging systems if the lithium battery is fully charged but the charging systems still have to charge the installed on-board battery due to their AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) or gel characteristic. In addition, the battery computer displays the total capacity still available for the complete battery system in the passenger compartment. The combination of both battery systems results in several advantages:

• Finally self-sufficient use of the vehicle

• Extremely long service life of the entire battery system
• No conversion of the on-board electronics to lithium necessary

Advantages
All existing charging equipment can remain in the vehicle and continue to be operated. The mostly new or still intact on-board battery - regardless of capacity and type - remains installed and operates purely as a backup battery. It is used when the lithium battery is almost completely discharged or is switched off by the battery computer due to external circumstances
was. Disconnection is activated at extremely low temperatures or if the lithium battery has to be switched off due to high interior temperatures.

Additional function
If the vehicle is not used as a touring vehicle, this can be set on the battery computer at the touch of a button. As long as this rest function is activated, the lithium battery is not fully charged but kept in the optimal partial charge state. This significantly increases the service life of the LiFePO4 battery.
