Porta Potti Portable Toilet
The toilets in the Porta Potti series are chemical toilets. These consist of two parts, the upper part is a combination of flush water tank and toilet bowl with removable toilet seat and lid. The lower part is the waste-holding tank. The flush water tank is filled with water and the rinsing agent. The waste-holding tank is filled with the necessary toilet care products through the emptying nozzle to prevent odour. When the lower container is full, this can be seen from the fill level indicator on almost all models in the Porta Potti series. The tank can be conveniently emptied through the nozzle. The vent button on the waste-holding tank prevents unpleasant splashes when emptying.
Cassette toilets from Thetford
Cassette toilets also belong to the category of chemical toilets. Unlike the Porta Potti series, these are permanently installed in the motorhome or caravan, which ensures maximum ease of use and comfort. A unique feature of Thetford cassette toilets is the external access. A small door, called the service flap, on the outside of the vehicle ensures preparation for use and easy emptying of the waste-holding tank. The mode of operation is similar to that of portable toilets. Berger Camping naturally offers the installation of the service flap.
